12 March 2025 – imVision System Manager Service Pack 9.10 SP1 Announced. This Service Pack supports the use of SHA-256 for authentication when using SNMPv3 to communicate with network switches and routers.

23 June 2023 – imVision System Manager Service Packs 9.6x SP2, 9.5 SP1, and 9.4 SP1 Announced. This Service Pack resolves the unintended inclusion of System Manager user passwords in the captured logging details stored within the SMWCF and SMSVR log files.

Legacy Hardware Announcements

imVision 360 Controller

Software support for the SYSTIMAX imVision 360 Controller will end in October 2026. CommScope’s decision to discontinue software support for the older legacy devices means that their compatibility will no longer be tested with new versions of the System Manager software. The announcement can be found HERE.

CommScope® announced that the SYSTIMAX 360™ imVision® Controller (760161380) was discontinued on 31 January 2019.  The imVision® Controller X replaces the imVision® Controller.  Information regarding the imVision® Controller X can be found HERE.

The imVision Controller X represents the latest in technology, offering enhanced features, improved performance, and greater scalability. By migrating to this newer technology, customers will benefit from a more robust, future-proof solution that aligns with the latest industry standards and practices.

iPatch Panel Manager and Network Manager, and iPatch Rack Manager Plus

Effective at the end of 2025, the System Manager software will no longer support previously discontinued iPatch Rack Manager Plus and iPatch Panel Manager devices, and customers were advised to migrate their installations to the imVision Controller X.  The announcement can be found HERE.

CommScope® announced that the SYSTIMAX 360™ iPatch® Panel Manager (760095562) and Network Manager (760105353) were discontinued on 31 October, 2015.

V1 Rack Manager/Network Manager

Please be advised that beginning with imVision System Manager release 7.2 we are no longer qualifying V1 Rack Managers and Network Managers with our ongoing software releases. V1 Rack/Network Managers were discontinued in 2004.  They can be identified by the presence of a 9-pin connector (RS232/DB9) on the front left housing.
